The Best Strollers We’ve Tested for Every Family

We pushed 12 strollers through cities, trails, and airports to find the best for everyday parents.

A stroller is one of the most personal purchases you’ll make as a parent — and one of the most variable by lifestyle. City parents need something that collapses into a subway car. Suburban parents want something that handles a trail. We tested 12 strollers across all terrain types to find the best for each use case.

What to Look For

Weight: Every pound matters when you’re lifting a stroller into a trunk or carrying it up stairs. Sub-20 lb strollers are genuinely city-usable. Over 25 lbs, you’re fighting the stroller every day.

One-hand fold: You will always have a baby in the other hand. If a stroller requires two hands to fold, you will struggle with it daily. Test the fold in the store.

Canopy coverage: A generous, adjustable canopy that protects from sun at low angles is non-negotiable. Peek-a-boo windows that let you see your baby without disturbing them are genuinely useful, not just a marketing feature.

Handlebar height: Try pushing with your natural posture. Handlebars that are too low cause back pain within weeks. Look for adjustable handlebars if you and your partner are different heights.
